If you notice a charge from Weaveform that looks higher than usual or see multiple charges in one month, it is typically due to one of the following reasons:
1. It is a "Pending" Authorization
When you pay by credit card, your bank may place a temporary hold (authorization) on the funds before the actual payment is processed.
Appearance: It looks like a charge on your statement but is actually "pending."
Resolution: No funds are actually taken, and the hold usually disappears within a month.
Note: If you are paying in a different currency, the amount may fluctuate slightly between the "pending" time and the "final" charge due to updated exchange rates.
2. A Previously Failed Payment was Retried
If a previous payment failed (due to an expired card or insufficient funds), Weaveform will automatically try to process that payment again a few days later.
The Result: If a past-due payment is finally successful at the same time your current month’s bill is due, you may see two charges appear on your statement at once.
3. Renewal Rates or Bundled Services
There are two common reasons your recurring bill might change:
End of a Promotion: If you used a discount code or caught a sale for your first year, the renewal will be at the standard yearly rate.
Consolidated Billing: To keep your bank statement clean, Weaveform sometimes bundles multiple payments (like your website plan, domain renewal, and business email) into one single transaction rather than several small ones.
