To comply with global internet rules (ICANN), all domain owners must verify their contact information within 15 days of registration or transfer. If you do not verify your information, your domain could be suspended, meaning your website and email will stop working.
When you first register a domain
Shortly after you purchase a new domain, you will be sent an email to the "Registrant" email address you provided.
Subject line: Usually something like *"Action required: Verify your contact information for your domain(s)"*.
What to do: You must click the verification link in that email within 15 days.
When you change your contact details
If you update your First Name, Last Name, or Email Address on an existing domain, your registrar is required to re-verify those details. You will receive a similar email to confirm the change.
Annual Reminders (WDRP)
Once a year, you will receive a "Whois Data Reminder Policy" email.
What to do: If your information is still correct, you do not need to do anything. You only need to take action if your details have changed (like a new phone number or home address).
⚠️ Important: How to avoid suspension
Check your Spam folder: These emails are often filtered into junk or "Promotions" folders.
Don't ignore it: If you miss the 15-day window, your domain will be suspended. To fix it,
contact us to "Resend Verification Email."
