  1. Log in to your Weaveform account
  2. Locate Website on the left menu.  Click Edit on your website
  3. In the top right corner of the website editor, click the Connect your domain button.

From here, you can choose one of two options:

connect existing domain to weaveform

Option 1: Connect Your Existing Domain

Choose this if you want to keep your domain registered with your current provider (like GoDaddy or Exabytes).

  1. Enter your domain name (e.g., `yourdomain.com`). Do not include `https://` or `www`
  2. Click Connect
  3. Update your DNS settings: You will be shown specific instructions to copy into your current domain registrar’s dashboard. This tells your domain to "point" to your new Weaveform site.

Option 2: Transfer Your Domain

Choose this if you want to handle your domain settings and renewals on Weaveform

  1. Check Eligibility: Enter your domain name (without `https://` or `www`) and click Check Eligibility
  2. Start Transfer: If your domain is eligible, click Start Transfer
  3. Get your EPP Code: Log in to your current domain registrar (where you originally bought the domain) and look for a section labeled "Transfer," "Domain Security," or "Settings."
  4. Ensure the domain is Unlocked
  5. Request the EPP Code (also known as an Authorization or Transfer Code). This is usually sent to your email.
  6. Submit: Return to the Weaveform platform, enter the EPP code, and click Submit Transfer

Which option should I choose?

Choose Option 1 if you are comfortable managing technical DNS settings yourself.

Choose Option 2 if you want a "hands-off" experience where Weaveform handles the technical challenges for you.  Refer to this for 1-year extension requirement for your domain.
